Thanks for ghostery it is the closest thing to privacy / safe surfing that exists now.
I'd like an extension similar to Ghostery but instead of simply blocking the tracking data I'd lke to send garbage back upstream. Is there anything like this, or are you interested in making a similar extension.

I haven't tried TrackMeNot myself, but it's an extension that does something similar for web searches: http://cs.nyu.edu/trackmenot/.Comment

Something to think about: TrackMeNot is specifically concerned with web searches, which are useful services. So using TrackMeNot means enjoying a company's products not only without contributing something back, but actually trying to harm the company. Which is kind of like blocking ads on your favorite websites.
