Shopping Portal leads nowhere: Doubleclick to blame?

I love a good puzzle, but it's time to ask for a hint. Which merchant has the problem? (But don't let this spoil a surprise for someone; it's OK to get back to us in a week).

iGive links to a few merchants' web sites directly, but relies heavily on Commission Junction, Google Affiliate Network, and LinkShare for most of them. I don't know exactly what's going on in your case, but I'm thinking it might have something to do with page redirection.



I find it useful to set a Firefox preference called Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page.



Here's what happens with http://www.igive.com/Annas-Linens

I click on the "Click here" link, and I'm taken to a "blank" page. View > Page Source; scroll down to the bottom. See the part that says <META http-equiv="Refresh" content="0; URL=http://clickserve.cc-dt.com/link/tplclick?lid=... — that's the connection to Google Affiliate Network.

Then, I click the Allow button next to Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page.

This leads to a "302" redirect to http://gan.doubleclick.net/gan_click?lid=... (still Google Affiliate Network), which redirects again to the same URL with &nognr=1 appended.

Finally, it redirects to www.annaslinens.com

Ghostery's blocking shouldn't interfere with this, but given that there are subtle differences in the ways iGive hands customers off to various merchants, it's possible you hit a "pothole" of sorts.

When I wrote iGive abt this problem, they sent me the following list of store sites that use tracking networks, which they suggested I set to "allow":
