Showing trackers when there are none

Firefox 4 and 5. My home page is an HTML file with links on my computer, like a bookmarks file. When I use the back button from a site with trackers to go back to my home page file, the little owl with the number of trackers remains at the previous number of trackers and does not clear to reflect no trackers until I reload the home page file again.
