Hi everyone, thanks for using Ghostery.
We're almost finished with a new release of Ghostery for IE browser and its now ready to be beta tested. This release fixes most, if not all of the issues in this topic. If you feel ready for an upgrade, please follow the instructions below.
1. Uninstall current Ghostery for IE from your system.
2. Download executable installer from here: http://crossrider.com/download/ie/20900
3. Install.
4. Wait a few seconds for IE to open and load the Ghostery walkthrough (please be patient, this might take up to 20 seconds - just this time).
5. You will need to restart your IE at least once after finishing the Ghostery walkthrough.
Several caveats:
- Currently has been tested to work on IE 9, however it should work on IE 8 with only minor issues (i.e.: the toolbar icon won't show if using other than the Windows Classic theme on Windows 7 and IE 8). The objective for the final release is to fully support IE 8-10 (and possibly IE 7 as well).
- The icon will look a bit smaller than the existing Ghostery icon.
Please keep in mind that this is a beta release. That said, if you choose to install it, it will get automatically updated when the final release comes out. If you happen to find an issue with it, please post it here: https://getsatisfaction.com/ghostery/...

Hi Smith,
Make sure you have turned off your pop-up blocker. Try restarting your browser after the install. -

Thank you, that fixed it. Any Idea why a website browsed with firefox reports a tracker but the same website browsed with IE 9 reports "No information found"?
-
Great news! Does it show up blocked if you refresh the page?

No It doesn't, it still shows No information found, but I've also noticed the list of blockable trackers is far less in IE 9 than in FF. The Tracker I see on the BMO website is Zig Zag but it does not appear in the IE list

Yes.. This is a bug with the current Ghostery for IE. We are actively working on a complete re-write of the IE extension. You are better off using Firefox as it is our most feature-rich version.
