Turning off the number badge over Ghostery's button in Firefox
How do I remove the counter next to the Ghostery button in the toolbar? It would be great if this was possible one way or the other. I'm using the Firefox add-on. I'm using Mac OS 10.8, even though it would be awesome if I knew how to do this on Linux Mint 14. Thanks in advance!

Greetings Teh,
Thanks for using Ghostery!
Currently we don't have a setting to turn off the alert counter on the icon. You can remove the icon all together in the display options section of the Ghostery options menu >> Uncheck "Show Ghostery button in Navigation Bar"...
Hope that helps -

Well, no, it doesn't. I'd really like the alert counter removed. Is it possible to do it the hard way? And by the way, please keep the old menu, I prefer it over the new, and I'm sure at least some others do, too. Thanks

Please start a new thread with details about why you prefer the old menu (and which old menu, specifically).

Is there a way to prevent Ghostery to stop displaying the number of trackers? I thought this was an option in the older versions. Example - http://i.imgur.com/zHsSVev.png
I'm using Firefox 20.0.1

Hello,
First of all, great kudos on this superb addon, I use it on all my machines for quite some time now. I like the idea of knowing who is tracking me and letting me control what I choose to run on a site-per-site basis.
One little annoying thing though, the Ghostery firefox toolbar button creates like a little square beside that shows the number of trackers blocked.
This works fine on the default theme, but breaks on many custom themes, in addition it serves very little purpose.
Just knowing how *many* trackers blocked doesn't mean anything particular to me (as opposed to say, the icon being changing colour to provide a cue as whether it's active or not).
I know some people may find it useful, but for me the theme breakage is just annoying and it provides no benefit.
In short, please provide a trivial option in options page to disable the number of trackers box that is visible beside the Ghostery toolbar icon/button on pages where something is blocked.
Thanks !!

Firefox toolbar button's number overlay blocks lots of firefox themes, let us disable it. -

I found a way to remove it until this is implemented.
In your firefox profile folder (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/...). Create a folder called "chrome" (without quotes) if it does not exist.
Then create a file called "userChrome.css" (without quotes) (if it doesn't exist) or edit it and add these lines at the end:
#ghostery-toolbar-button .badge {
display: none !important;
}
Then restart firefox and voila ! -
