To bug or not to bug - that is my question

Software bug or pest? Please clarify for this confused, illinformed-but-trying-old-newby.
When you use of the words 'bug' and 'bugs' (as in "Update bug lists" and "Bugs identified by Ghostery"), do you mean 'tracker' and 'trackers' or are 'bugs' in this context a special class of trackers (maybe blacklisted trackers)?
