Trackers inside Flash
Is detecting trackers inside Flash possible with Ghostery? Some video sites call trackers while playing the movie, but this is not displayed by Ghostery.

Hi Alexander, thanks for using Ghostery.
Firefox Ghostery looks for and notifies of the traffic inside a given Flash object. So its possible to intercept and block trackers that occur inside flash movies -- in fact Ghostery does this already for some trackers like Visible Measures, YuMe, and Tubemogul. If you have particular tracker to add, post them here and we will process them into the database. -

ok, I have watching a video on nick.com, the page displays 4 trackers found,
google analytics, comscore beacon, quantserve and doubleclick
in addition to that I find the following domains in the log that appear the be trackers inside the flash player
nickvia.112.2o7.net (Omniture)
140cc.v.fwmrm.net
secure-us.imrworldwide.com
beacon.securestudies.com
gw040.lphbs.com
livepass.conviva.com
when I access a video page on nick.de, I also get access to a tracker on an ip address 184.73.199.44 that is apparently called Skytide Flash Analytics-
Alexander, out of the list you've pasted, Ghostery is missing gw040.lphbs.com and livepass.conviva.com which I'll process in. Additionally, it looks like the definition for FreeWheel was a bit off, so I've corrected it.
Now, looks like Ghostery option that turns on sub object tracking is not on for you -- its the "Scan and block embed and object tags served off the matched tracker domain" under Performance Options. Make sure its enabled and Ghostery will scan and block the offenders in your list. -

Ok, so which log are you referring to then?

I am checking the log from Firebug to compare it with the detected trackers for ghostery
-
-
I get 6 detected trackers now, adding the livepass one and freewheel, I think then all are detected

Sweet. Conviva is the laggard that will be input into the database this week.

Hi, I'm not sure, but it seems that I should post it there.
Here is the ad that wasn't blocked by Ghostly even after I disabled Rich Media Banner Network in its settings (rmbn.net):
< param name="Movie" value="http://rmbn.net/banners/net00004/7/65... symbols...." >-
Privet!
Could you give us the site you found it on? Thanks! -
