Trackers on hard-drive resident link page
I have a web page that is stored on my local hard drive and contains links to pages that I access frequently. I wrote the page in HTML myself using ASCII and no embedded code of any kind. It is my Firefox home page and whenever I go to it, it shows 3 trackers: Google Analytics, Quaticast and Google AdSense. I do have Google and Bing search boxes on the page, but it shows the trackers even when I remove them. Why is this?

Hi Broox, thanks for using Ghostery.
Ghostery scans local pages as well, and associates the trackers found in sub elements (such as frames or iframes) with the top URL for the reporting purposes (so you get to see the purple report box).
Without seeing the actual page, I'm hard pressed to tell you what exactly is going on, but its possible that Ghostery is finding bugs in frames or maybe even widgets you might have on the local page.
If you trust the local page, please add it to your white list by copying the URL into Ghostery Options -> Whitelisting -> Add Site. -
