Tumblr blocking log on unless I completely pause blocking
Ever since the most recent Ghostery update a couple days ago, Tumblr's been preventing me from logging on unless I turn off Ghostery completely. (Whitelisting Tumblr doesn't cut it.) I'm using the most recent version of Firefo, yet the same issue occurs in Opera, too. The problem didn't occur before the most recent Ghostery update. Is there a workaround for this?

I am not aware of any changes in the past year that would have any effect on Tumblr. They may have changed something on their end (remember, they're owned by Yahoo! now, and Yahoo! has a penchant for doing strange and bizarre things).
Ensure the trackers Tumblr Buttons and Tumblr Dashboard are not blocked. ("Don't block what you use.")
Please tell us (for each browser) its name and full version number, which version of Ghostery you have, and list all other extensions you have enabled.
Are you starting from https://www.tumblr.com/login — or somewhere else?
The only trackers I see listed for the official login page are Google Analytics, ScoreCard Research Beacon, and sometimes Cedexis Radar. I don't have a Tumblr account, so that's as far as I can go.

In Firefox (only!) open Ghostery's Options, select the Cookies tab, and make sure Tumblr Dashboard is not blocked. (I recommend "Select none" for Cookies; most people don't understand what this feature actually does, and just end up hurting themselves with it.)
In Firefox (only!) you can select Tools > Ghostery > Block Log before opening the Tumblr pages to find out exactly what Ghostery is doing. -

Ah - just was about to reply that I discovered the solution by fooling around in the Options. It was indeed the Tumblr Dashboard cookie being blocked. Thanks for posting, in any case.
