Update of plug-in in Internet Explorer 9

A dialog box asking to update the Ghostery plug-in pops-up every time I reboot my computer and start Internet Explorer 9. I then have to close my browser and click on the "OK" or "Cancel" button several times to get rid of the box, which is annoying since I am usually in the middle of browsing when this happens and the dialog box does not respond with just one click. I have tried to uninstall Ghostery in safe mode and reinstall, but this problem is still there. I did not have this issue with the previous version of Ghostery.
