Updating library doesn't work & neither does block new elements by default

Clicking on update now for the library says "updating" but never completes. Also, in the advanced tab. I have it set and saved to block all new elements by default but every now and then when I check for trackers and cookies, there will be new elements that are not blocked and so I have to manually block them.

What browser are you using (name and version), and which version of Ghostery do you have?

  I just figured out that it wasn't updating because the browser was forcing a TLS 1.2 or 1.1 only. But I still don't know why the elements are not blocked by default.

  I can still connect even with security.tls.version.max and security.tls.version.min both set to 3 (forcing TLS 1.2). Of course, I'm only contacting one of hundreds of servers that deliver Ghostery updates, and I'm just assuming they're configured consistently.
  
  I don't know why you're seeing unblocked trackers. (Are you sure they're new, and not things you've accidentally unblocked by selecting the wrong Click-to-Play icon when all you wanted was a one-shot?)
  
  Open Ghostery's Options, click Update now, wait for it to complete. Scroll down to Blocking Options, and select Show new since last update. I just did it, got one new tracker (ADSXtreme), and it came in blocked. I think it's working...
