With Opera 12.16/12.17, you'll have to allow ShareThis. Otherwise, tell us what browser (name and version) you're using, and which version of Ghostery you have.

Oops! sorry about that...

I was using Safari 6.1.6 on a MacBook Pro, and I have Ghostery 5.2.0.

  Try updating your extensions, and then see if the problem still occurs.

  My operating system is OS X 10.7.5 (Lion, not Mountain Lion), and my extensions are set to update automatically.

  If your extensions were updating automatically, you'd have version 5.4.1 (not 5.2.0).

  Under Preferences, the Extensions tab has the box checked for Install Updates Automatically. I have three extensions: LastPass, Ghostery and DuckDuckGo. Either of those a known incompatibility with Ghostery or the MacOS auto-update feature?

  yes. Not sure why it didn't update. you can just go to ghostery.com and click install.. your settings will be retained. Just refresh whatever page you are on and you'll be all set

Just updated to Ghostery 5.4.1, and bounced Safari. Issue persists.
