How do I block a tracker using the new findings panel?
I dont care for the new update for ghostery. I used to be able to immediately click on a site in the list and block it myself. Now, I don't see the block button, but rather a "more about" which is a waste of time for me and frustrating. Please bring back the option to be able to click on a tracker etc. and give us the option to block it. Thanks

We released a redesigned version of the findings panel with Ghostery 2.9 for Firefox. The redesign should take care of most usability issues with the previous findings panel. See this blog post for more information: http://purplebox.ghostery.com/?p=1016...
The redesigned findings panel is on the way to all other browsers. -

1If you'd like to get the old menu back for now, you can do so in Ghostery's options (under the Advanced tab).
But please give the new findings panel a try! One advantage of it is that you can toggle multiple trackers on/off at once without having to reopen Ghostery's menu.
To block a tracker using the new findings panel, click on "Edit Blocking Options" and then mark the checkbox next to the tracker's name.
We plan on removing the need to have to click "Edit Blocking Options" in the future.

Blocking / Stopping new sites is already handled under the 'Page Info' selection under Tools if using Firefox... What I'M* looking for is some sort of comprehensive list that has a "grading" or "rating" all the Ghostery listed sites' (1786*)Trackers / 173*)Cookies that are on my PC right now.., according to the Ghostery configuration page.., that simply pertain to their "trustworthiness", how many complaints each has received to date, who's the Worst*, who's Not-So-Bad... as far as customer complaints reveal, so far.
Is there such a list? ..and if so*, can we get a copy of it to pick & choose our "block-list" from..?-
Hi JH,
Thanks for using Ghostery!
Such a list does not exist. We have been toying with the idea of creating different level so blocking based on topics that you bring up, but nothing as of yet. It's difficult since everyones browsing and privacy preferences are unique. What may be safe to one may not be to others.
