Why can't I respond to my emails on gmail? using 2.4.1 ghostery and I just updated.

my gmail will not load the page that lets me respond to my emails. Since ads and bugs are blocked by google will this prevent my gmail from working correctly? I am using 2.4.1 Thanks for your support. Glad for Ghostery...
