is there such a thing as partial blocking? or is the following a ghostery defect?
I am monitoring my Shared Objects folder as I browse and block and not-block to understand the workings of Ghostery (and AdblockPlus simultaneously). I have found some folders that get created in there, but no files are underneath. What does this mean?
the folder in particular is secureinclude.ebaystatic.com. According to ABP, there are scripts running in that domain. I have 12 blocked trackers and none of them are related. The ghost is grey on myebay page.
I think I also saw the same phenomena when doing online banking. (but I cleaned up the Shared Objects folder since then).

Please refer to my earlier reply. LSOs, by their nature are merely designed for sites to store data on your computer. That data is not necessarily malicious -- simply a method for developers to store data on the machine you are using.
