Will Ghostery block Facebook data collection?

Lots of news this week about Facebook planning to sell our data it collects.

Will using Ghostery protect my data from being collected by Facebook?

Hi Elle,

Thanks for reaching out to Ghostery!

The data collection Facebook is using is not different then the past. They are just using this data in different ways. So if you are blocking Facebook trackers using Ghostery then your all set on 3rd party pages.

However, this does not stop tracking ON Facebook. Once you've signed up for Facebook then they have you where they want you :-)
