Your latest Ghostery upgrade/update sux!!
Your latest Ghostery upgrade/update sux! I use DreamLinux with Iceweasel. It wiped out all of my blocks (I had to redo them) and now it won't allow my wife, who uses M$ Winblows XP with FireFox to access her Facebook account if she blocks their bugs/trackers (which she has been blocking all along). we've been using Ghostery for quite a while now, and I'm disappointed that it seems to have been put out without testing it! My wife has now removed Ghostery from her computer!

Hi MJ, thanks for using Ghostery.
I'm sorry to see you disappointed, there has been a lot of changes between Ghostery v2.0 branch and v2.1. One of them was the reset and addition of remote bug list update. That feature required us to reorder the static bug list that was provided to all previous versions of Ghostery. Long story short, if you had an older version of Ghostery and upgraded to v2.1 branch, your blocks have been reset. We've made the announcement on our blog and here.
As far as Facebook is concerned, there are several threads on the board already. Here is the paste of the answer I've provided earlier:
Ghostery provides 2 trackers for Facebook: Facebook Connect and obsolete Facebook Beacon (it is still used in some places tho). If you decide to block Facebook Connect using Ghostery, then any reincarnation or call to Facebook's API via the Facebook Connect is blocked. This includes Facebook.com, since they are "eating their own dog food". This causes problems for users of the main Facebook web site. If you do not use Facebook, then by all means, feel free to block all Facebook trackers and safely navigate the intertubes without worry. If you are, however, using Facebook, then my recommendation (at least for now) is to leave Facebook Connect tracker unblocked. -
