The GigiPress widget appears in my sidebar, but is virtually un-styled. The FAQ states:
'It could be that your theme is missing the wp_head() hook in the "< head >" section of the template. '
Can you elaborate?
In what file do I place the wp_head() hook?
Is there code I need between the parenthesis?
What do you mean by the "" section of the template?
I'm trying to style the sidebar widget so that it matches the static HTML/CSS mockup that I made. I'm having trouble finding the file that controls the output of the sidebar widget. I've looked through all of the files in the 'template' folder but none of them seem to be controlling it.
To help better understand what I'm asking, I'll show examples.
This is how my sidebar widget was designed and coded to look in the mockups: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10547667/Scre...
<i>Philidelphia, PA @</i>
<a class="buy-tickets" href="#">Buy Tickets →</a>
This is the output that I'm getting:
'<li id="gigpress-3" class="widget-container widget_gigpress">
'<h3 class="widget-title">Upcoming shows</h3>
'<ul class="gigpress-listing vcalendar">
'<li class="vevent active">
'<abbr class="dtstart" title="2011-01-21 21:00:00">01/21/11</abbr>
' <span class="summary">
'<span class="gigpress-sidebar-artist">Chris Webby</span>
<span class="gigpress-sidebar-city">Springfield, VA</span>
<span class="location gigpress-sidebar-venue"><a href="http://www.google.com">Ultra Bar</a></span>
<span class="gigpress-sidebar-status"><a href="http://www.ticketurl.com" class="gigpress-tickets-link">Buy tickets</a></span>
How would I go about editing the template for the sidebar widget?

HI thanks for the response:)
I see in my header.php file. I guess I'm just thoroughly confused as to how to:
1. Style the Gigpress sidebar.
2. Choose between Gigipress templates.
Mine currently looks like this: www.rd-sound.com (at the bottom of the right sidebar)
I'd like it to look like this: www.vibesquad.com
I've coded my own sites for a long time, but I'm still a novice....
thanks for your help!!!
EMPLOYEE0OK, so the sidebar is not appearing "unstyled", it's just not styled how you want it. So the CSS is loading fine.
For info on customizing the CSS, please refer to the docs: http://gigpress.com/docs/#css
However I will point out that on the second site you reference, they are actually calling the full GigPress shows display in their sidebar (not using the widget). This is why it looks how it does.
There's no "choosing" between templates currently – you can customize the sidebar template and the main display template, but you can't have more than one template associated with each kind of display. (This may change in the future.)
I've got it pretty much how I want it, I'm now just wondering if there is a way to get only the day and only the month from the database.
<?php echo $showdata['date']; ?>
will display something like 01/21/11 but I need to be able to call the day, month and year separately. Is this possible? There has to be some way to parse this data in the "01/21/11" form but I thought maybe it could be done another way since I'm not too up to snuff with my PHP.
