I’m confused

My gift was rejected

I tried to give to an organization on Givimo and there was a pop up that said, "The change you wanted was rejected...Maybe you tried to change something you didn't have access to".... I tried to give to multiple places and couldn't give.

  • We are sorry to hear that your gift was rejected. That is obviously not the intent of givimo.com. We need a little more information about this issue you experienced.

    Do you remember what browser you were using and which organizations you were trying to give to? Do you remember the date you experienced the problem? All of these answers could help us find the problem sooner.

  • Still won't let me give :( I tried giving to your little girls cause and it popped up with the same message....maybe it's because I haven't added a bank account yet? But, if I give I would want to give by my own personal credit card, not my non-profit's bank account....ideas on this? (sent from user via email)

  • The problem wouldn't have anything to do with the bank account on file for your cause. We only charge credit cards for gifts to causes. You should be able to give without a Givimo account. We wanted to limit any hindrances to giving a gift. There is either a browser issue (see question below), an issue with your credit card information on the form, or a ghost that doesn't want you to give (very possible)...haha.

    Do you mind trying this on another computer? Try giving to your own cause or any cause of your choice. On your computer, do you know if you're using Internet Explorer, Firefox, or another browser?

    This is really helpful because most of the people that have successfully given to Givimo, use Apple computers. A few have been PCs but I'm really interested in making sure everything (especially giving) is working on ALL major browsers. Unfortunately, browsers are not standardized so it makes it difficult on developers, but it's definitely fixable.

  • Problem fixed. Just clear your cache and cookies and everything should work. We suspect that because you were one of our earliest givers and causes your browser was saving old data before we updated the payment gateway piece of the app from Braintree.

    I hope you can now give a kagillion of dollars and change the world :-)
