2 Problems: When will I be allowed to use Debt-Accounts? & "Add money" not working

1)  I read the complaints about the "Debt envelope" feature NOT being available to all users.

I can read, and watch tutorials and learn... that being said, the Debt-Account feature is not available on the screen it is supposed to be on... you and the tutorial tell me to got the account page and choose it... but it is not there on my app. Do not insult me in just repeat the information from the tutorial.. I watched you do this to each person that complained about this issue... do not insult out intelligence.

I emailed about getting the option.

2)  I added money earlier today to bring my only available account to the balance I wanted (I have the free version btw).  Later I realized I need to edit that amount, and when I did that, the unallocated envelope updated with the new amount, but my account balance did not change.  I kept trying to add money of various sums just to see if I could get my account balance to change... but each time it did not, BUT the unallocated envelope continued to correctly update... this kind of thing renders the app useless. I shouldn't have to continue double-0checking every amount in the entire app.

Please help me.

Hi Brad,

Thanks for the email! Alex replied and gave you access to the Debt features, so you can now use them on the website. 

For your other issue you're reporting, that does sound strange! When you update your Account balance, both Account balance and Unallocated amount should adjust. 

In case it's just a mistakes, here's how you can update your Account balances on the website. 

Click on Add/Edit on the Accounts tab. From there, update your Current Balance and be sure to save your changes when you're done. 

If it's still not working, can you let us know via email so we can take a look at your Household to  investigate the issue more?

Having the same issue. I closed out the tour when it popped up this morning and it appears I am no longer able to test drive the new feature.

Also, I would like to apologize for my negativity in orig post. I admit I got impatient and, well... I suffer from the immediacy I am used to in this app driven world we live in. I am also aware that these apps require tons of work and constant reworking, and I should've been more sensitive to any current operational issues.  I am sorry.

1)  Started messing with debt feature already... SOOOO pumped. Thank you thank you.

2) the other issue... again, when I would edit the amount of a previous "add money" transaction, I was not getting an updated balance in my "bank acct," BUT, was getting the appropriate update in envelopes.

By deleting the transaction altogether and redoing it, albeit with the amount I later wanted, DID work. However, for fun, I tried editing the amount again to see if it would happen, and sure enough... I get issues with the associated account balance correctly updating, but the envelopes always update correctly... I would try to the transaction with both amounts above and below the original amount... no matter what, neither updated correctly... so I just deleted it and redid it one last time.
That's the best I can explain the issue.

No apology necessary! I'm glad to hear you're liking those new debt features so far :D 

Thanks for clarifying about the issue you're experiencing. It sounds like you've added an income via the 'Add Money' page and you've dispersed some of that income to Unallocated only, and some of that to other Envelopes. However, when you try and update the Amount of the income, that change doesn't affect your Account balance, but it does update your Envelopes balances. 

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to replicate this from my side. Both Add Money to Unallocated, and Add Money transactions to multiple Envelopes seem to work correctly when I update the Amount.

But, since you're able to consistently replicate what you're describing, can you reach out and let us know when you see this again before you make any changes? That way we can investigate with your Household in that incorrect state, which might help us replicate it and know why that's happening.

somethin you said made me wonder... I noticed some things take a few minutes to update... I wonder, had I waited a few minutes, perhaps my cash-account would have correctly updated. Anyhow, thank you... I will let you know
