Account order on Android app changed recently

I named my accounts so that my primary credit card account shows up first ("1 Capital One") when entering transactions, following the advice in this post https://getsatisfaction.com/goodbudget/topics/change_order_of_accounts.

Sometime in the past few months the Android app started listing the 6 accounts that I classify as checking or savings before my credit card.

This introduces unnecessary friction when entering transactions via my phone.

Could you please revert to the old behavior, or provide a new way to let me make my primary credit card appear first?

Thanks!

Hi Ted,

Sorry for the troubles! You're right we've made some changes recently to the Accounts feature on Android. Now, you're able to re-order / edit / add Accounts directly from your device, which you could not do before.

Before the change, the order of your Accounts on the Add Transaction screen appeared in alphabetical order. Now, they appear in the order they appear on the Accounts tab, with Checking, Savings, and Cash Accounts at the top, and Credit Card Accounts below. You are able to re-order the list within those groups, but the Credit Card Accounts will still appear below the Cash Accounts.

Unfortunately, there's not a way to get your CC Account to appear at the very top of the list. However, you might be able to get it closer to the top by moving it to the top of the CC list. Also, you can 'Hide' any Accounts you're not using. To do that, tap on the Overflow Menu > Edit Accounts > Tap on the Account you'd like to hide > check the 'Hide on this device' option. Be sure to save your changes when you're done.

Hope that helps!
