Account balance and cleared balance don't match on summary screen

Hi,

On the transaction detail screen my cash account shows a balance of 183.30 = cleared balance of 183.30, but on the summary screen it shows a balance of 178.30 != cleared balance of 183.30. There are no outstanding transactions that can account for this, and the two values should be consistent between screens. I did reconconcile my accounts last night, and a couple of weeks ago I deleted a duplicate $5 transaction from this account, but this is a fundamental error that should not be happening.

Thanks,

Nikki

Hi Nikki,

Can you email us at support@eebacanhelp.com with you household username? The ability to see your budget would help us to explore what you are experiencing and what could possibly be happening with your cleared balance.

When you performed your first reconciliation for this account, did you set the beginning balance at 0.00?

I hope receive an email from you soon. Thanks!

Hi Audrey,

I have emailed our household budget name to you as requested.

When I did the first reconciliation for all of the accounts, I definitely set the starting balance to zero, as per the recommendation on the EEBA page.

Thank you,

Nikki

Hi Steven,

Thanks for that. I've been checking my account regularly, so I noticed the changes this morning and I've now got my accounts all up-to-date again.

Is this a bug that you'll be fixing shortly, or should I be wary about deleting certain kinds of transactions?

Thanks,

Nikki

Hi Nikki,

It's not something you should run into again. Just try to keep your internet connection stable once you've started a sync. No need to worry about deleting transactions if necessary.

Thanks!
