Ading comment to reconciled "Fill Envelopes" tx makes it unreonciled

Sometimes I want to add a comment to a transaction after I have reconciled it. This seems to work ok for debit transactions and simple income transcactions (the ones added via the 'Add Transaction' link).

But if the transaction was added through the 'Fill Envelopes' link and I add a comment, the transaction loses its reconciled status.

I can work around this by reconciling the account again (using the most recent reconciled date/balance) and adjusting the 'Previous Balance' by the amount of the affected transaction. But can this be fixed please?

Thanks. And keep up the great work :)

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your post. It is true that, currently, editing a Reconciled Fill from New Income transaction will cause it to become un-Reconciled. Thanks for adding the detail that adding a Note will cause this issue in the same way as a normal edit, that's helpful to know. I've added this detail to our listing of this bug in our tracker, and we'll update this space if we release a fix.

In the meantime, you should be able to add Notes to your Reconciled Fills from New Income by use of the bulk edit feature. Simply check off the Reconciled Fill, then add a Note using the bulk edit menu rather than by opening the Fill's edit menu.

For any other case, you can re-Reconcile the Fill using the method you've mentioned in your original post, by editing the Previous Balance on future Reconciliations.

Thanks again!
