Annual due date cannot be longer than a year

I am setting up an envelope to save up for annual car servicing fees. So I add the allotted budget and set the due date to e.g. 18th of September 2017 (which is a bit longer than a year as of today). The app disregards this, resets the due date to be in 2016 and tells me that I need to add the full amount to be on target and it makes it September 2016. To me that seems like an irregularity, as it makes planning for a future expense on annual basis not possible, unless I stay inside the current year period. It might need an error to the user that you can't plan a due date to be outside a whole year, instead of resetting it to 2016 again without notice...

Hi Jorgen,

Sorry for the troubles! You make a good point that it's valuable to be able to plan expenses that are 365 days away and farther out.

Right now, as you've mentioned, Annual Envelopes will allow you to set a due date of 364 days away, but not more.

Conversely, Goal Envelopes will let you plan as far in advance as you'd like, because they do not renew on that yearly cycle like Annuals.

I've added your thoughts to our feedback notes of making it possible for Annual Envelopes to accept due dates that exceed one year's time.

Thanks again.
