I'm trying to delete multiple old transactions because I set up my budget for "Every 2 Weeks" but instead I added all of last month's transactions, because I read in one of the forum questions that you could start mid-month and not have to wait till next paycheck to start. So now I'm trying to set up my budget to be for "Every 2 Weeks" and because I added a whole months worth of income and expense transactions I now have to delete all of the transactions from the first paycheck which was on 31st of August till the 14 of September so that it accounts for only 2 weeks worth of income and expense transactions rather then a whole month. So my question is simply, can I delete multiple transactions at one time, rather then one at a time? and if so, How ?

Hi Daniel:

As a fellow user, I can't find any way to do this. You will have to delete them one at at time.

Hi Daniel,

@Alan is right. Currently, there's no bulk edit feature. You'll have to delete transactions one at a time.

I do apologize! I know if you have a lot of transactions, that may time some time to delete items.

Hi everyone,

We've just released the bulk edit feature on our website. You can now select multiple transactions to delete them or move them from one envelope/account to another. Additionally, you can also bulk edit the name of your transactions, add a note to them, or delete them.

Just hover of the Type column where the transaction type icons are until you see a check box. Check off the transactions you'd like to select and choose an action at the top right of the transactions window.

Hope this saves you time in the future!

I have tried this, and the functionality does not work. I have selected 1817 transactions to delete, and the "Delete" action at the top right of the transactions window is greyed out. My file is corrupt for unknown reasons. I will detail in a relevant post. I am going to take one more stab at cleaning it up before moving on to another app.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for posting and sorry for the troubles! There are some limitations to things that can be deleted via the Bulk Edit feature. For example, Account Adjustments, Created Account Transactions, and Envelope / Account Transfers cannot be deleted using Bulk Edit.

From the Home screen, you can delete things like regular expense / credit transactions, Envelope Fills from Unallocated and from New Income, and New Incomes to Unallocated.

Hope that helps!
