Hi Linda,

Goodbudget is best used with an internet connection, as this will allow you to sync your transactions and data to our servers so your information backed up and can be shared and accessed from multiple different computers, phones, etc.

However, that being said, once you've set up your Goodbudget household for the first time (a process that requires an internet connection), it is possible to continue using Goodbudget on the mobile apps without an internet connection. However, if you choose to go this route, your transactions and data will not be backed up, so if you accidentally log out, uninstall the app, or otherwise have anything happen to your phone, everything you've entered will be lost. Furthermore, that data will not be accessible on any device other than the one being used.

If you'll have sporadic access to internet connection, Goodbudget can still be a great tool. The transactions and data you enter while not connected will hold on your phone until you are next connected to the internet, and they'll sync and back up then. If you are anticipating not having internet connection at all, or not having it for a long period of time, it is still possible to use Goodbudget, but you should be aware of the risks that entails.

Hope that helps!

I was not being able to sync back multiple transactions when I'm online again. This is related to my issue here :
