Convert an existing account to a debt account

I've just learned about debt accounts and I'd like to try and use them to track my mortgages. My mortgages are currently in normal accounts with negative balances and a long transaction history. Is there any way to easily convert these accounts to debt accounts, or to move existing transactions into them? I've tried just moving the transactions, but the new debt account isn't listed in the move target.

Hi Coran,

You can't move non-Debt transactions into Debt Accounts, but you certainly can change your existing Credit Card Accounts to Debt Accounts. Check out this great guide in our Help Center for text and video instructions on doing just that!

Hope that helps!

I noticed I couldn't import transactions into  debt accounts either, so I think I'll keep doing what I've been doing for my mortgages, thanks.

Hi Coran,

Yes, it is not currently possible to Import into Debt Accounts. I've added your vote to add that feature to our tracker for future consideration. But in the meantime, sorry to hear that the new debt features didn't work for you, but thanks for sharing your experiences with them with us!
