Goal and Due fortnightly envelopes being calculated incorrectly

I have several envelopes with long-term goals and annual envelopes with a due date. These envelopes are not adding a small amount per budget period, but are instead trying to fill the entire envelope all at once. This is a pretty recent change, in the last few weeks.

It is not correctly dividing the envelope target by the number of budget periods -- in fact it not dividing the remaining amount I need to save at all.

I haven't noticed this problem with any other envelopes, besides Annual (only when I provide a due date) and Goal envelopes.

Hi Marianne,

Thanks for posting and sorry for the troubles! It sounds like you're saying Goodbudget isn't suggesting an amount to fill into those Envelopes, is that right?

Annual Envelopes with due date and Goal Envelopes help you save the exact amount of money specified. Once you've saved that amount, Goodbudget will stop giving a suggested fill amount. The amount saved is based on how much you've filled into the Envelope so far, not the Envelope's current balance.

So it sounds like you've already saved what you intended in those Envelopes. If you'd like to save more, you can try upping their budgeted amounts.

Hope that helps!

I agree with Marianne. The amounts are not calculating correctly... even if the balances have not reached their target.
