Manual Entry of Scheduled Expenses with no Automatic Entry

First let me say that my wife and I have been using EEBA for several weeks now and love it. It has helped us tremendously to manage our finances and see where our money is going.

I would like to know if you can add an option on Scheduled Expenses for manual entry only? It could be an option under the Schedule This Every drop down and still send out an email reminder.

This would basically be a bill reminder for a scheduled date but allow manual entry only instead of automatic entry.

Thank you for such an awesome budgeting tool!!

Hi jackh113,

That's an interesting suggestion. Currently, you can always edit or delete the posted scheduled expense if there was a mistake in it. That should keep you safe from any problems. But you're right that a pure bill-reminder system would be handy. I'll add that to our feature tracker, thanks for suggesting it!

Hi, is there any work on this? My scheduled transactions are all to be entered manually, but keeping the schedule helps us to keep track of coming payments...

Hi jcorrego,

Thanks for checking. We are not working on a pure bill reminder feature at this time. For now, you can schedule your transactions for the amount of 0.00, and opt for an email reminder. Once they post, you can edit the amount to make it match the actual expense amount.

Hope that helps!

I'd like to essentially add a +1 to this ancient idea. I have dozens of scheduled transactions but I'd like to drop them when they actually hit my account, rather than having them entered automatically. This saves me from having to find them in a long list of transactions after they've posted, since many vary slightly from month to month and don't always land on the same date. This is as simple as an "enter automatically" or "enter manually" toggle in the scheduled entry. Perhaps as I have more months of data under my belt this won't be as big of an issue but today it's a feature I'd very much like to have available.
