Problem with Reset All

When i select reset all, resetting all envelopes to their original value. The program is taking about $56 dollars from envelops leaving the two fields it affects short of the original budget. I've done reset all several times and still end up with more and more negative on two envelops each time.

Hi Anthony, thanks for the question. Sorry for the frustration.

I'm not sure if this is exactly your issue without looking at your account. However, I suspect that it may be the following:

If you use Reset (or set specific), EEBA does a bit of a fancy calculation to do the reset. If you have transactions *on or after* the date of the reset, EEBA takes these into account in setting the amount. This was implemented because many folks were telling us they were forgetting to do their reset and were needing to do it after the fact. The way it now works, EEBA helps to calculate so that "as of" the date you have indicated for the reset the balance will be as specified--at the beginning of the day.

Is this your situation? I.e., were you backdating the reset or did you have other transactions already recorded on the day (or in the future) that you were doing the reset?
