re-scheduling a payment

Every now and again I'll have a scheduled payment hit, or I'll accidentally hit "now" when the payment has not yet hit. It would be really handy to have the ability to re-schedule it instead of having to delete and re-create the transaction.

Hi Jon,

Thanks for your request. It sounds like you're looking for the ability to change posted scheduled transactions back into pending scheduled transactions in one step, avoiding the need to delete the posted item and create a new pending version. I've added your request to our features tracker for future consideration!

Add me to the list on this one as well.  I hate re-entering the transaction, but it affects my monthly Fill if I don't.  This would be a really nice addition.

If I understand correctly, you're deleting the future transaction and re-adding it? I think the easier way is to just change the "next due" to the date it SHOULD post, then delete the transaction you accidentally added (sorry if that's what you meant you're already doing).
For example, I accidentally choose "Enter Now" for a bill due on June 15th. Now the next due shows as July 15th, but I can change it in "Scheduled Transactions" so the next payment is June 15th again. Now I delete the accidental entry and everything's back to where it should be without adding an entirely new transaction.

When you do this does the system schedule a new July 15th ??  Hope this makes sense - I was worried it I changed the July one to June - it would skip July and just have an August...

Hi Debtfreeme,

It sounds like you're asking if you reschedule from a future month back in time (i.e. closer to the present), if the transaction will skip the original month. If that's your question, the scheduled transaction will not skip that original month and will run through it normally.

To give an example, let's say you have a transaction scheduled monthly for the 10th, and the next date is July 10. If you edit the scheduled transaction to have the next date be June 20, the one after will be July 20, then August 20 and so forth -- it will not erase the July occurrence.

Hope that helps!
