Savings goal/ budget amount

I enter a savings goal which is due at a date next year but the budget amount is saying that the full amount is due in 2 x fortnightly payments.
ie. $15,000 goal... due in August 2020... $14,321 due every 2 weeks.
Am I doing something wrong here ?

Hi Marianne,
My first impression is that you've accidentally put August 2019 in as a goal date instead of a start date, but I'm sure you've already double checked that. If you haven't looked, you can "Edit" that goal envelope and make sure the date was saved correctly.
Are you using an Annual or Goal envelope (under Other Envelopes) for your savings budget? I wondered whether you've somehow accidentally put it in as a Monthly envelope, so even though the "bill" won't come due for a year GoodBudget is trying to reconcile it with your monthly spending?
If it's an Annual envelope, make sure the amount in your budget box is for the annual goal, which should have GoodBudget calculate 1/12 of that as your monthly budget.  If it's a Goal envelope, it should work the same way only divided over the remaining months.
I can't seem to recreate the behavior so I'm at a bit of a loss, but I hope that one of these suggestions at least leads you to an answer.
I hope you're able to get it figured out!

Hi Marianne,

If you're still unable to see the correct suggested fill amount after checking out Tiffany's suggestions about the due date and envelope budget period, please contact us directly at support@goodbudget.com with your username so we can take a closer look.

Thanks,
