Hi!

Quick questions: I schedule the "Groceries" envelope filling with a "Set" amount of dollars (100$) when I'll receive my salary in 1 week. If I spend something today (5$), will the envelope still have the "Set"value i gave or it will subtract the expenses from now + 7 days? So at the end i will see the envelope containing 95$?

Thanks

We receive a fixed salary and have a fixed budget for every dollar (thanks Dave Ramsey). I

adda specific amount to all my envelopes every pay period. If we've overspent in an envelope (restaurants!) during the current pay period, we will have less to spend in the next. This way my Goodbudget accurately reflects the amount in our checking account. I also reconcile it with my bank statement every month.Francesco Cardiff

it takes the 5$ from the unallocated. If your unallocated is not enough to fill this extra + all envelopes, you should get an error (though I can't be sure as I always choose the add option)
