The Android App doesn't sync if the envelopes were created before sign-up.
For me, uninstalling the app is not an option. I don't want to loose all my saved data.
You guys should give a solution, not just close the tickets if someone tells you that after uninstalling the app, the sync works.

Hi Leir,

Are you able to create a household on your phone now? Generally, the app should be able to sync envelopes that were created before sign-up. Was that not the case for you?

Hi, Steven!
In my case I had a sync error. I don't remember the message (something like: the sync was not successful and it will try again).
Unfortunately, I logged out from my account on Android (hopping that the sync will work after log in) and logged back in and all my old data was lost.

Hi Leir, sorry for the poor experience. Do you remember if you started over before registering? That is, did you start an unregistered household, then start over with another unregistered household? We're looking into some possible causes for what you experienced.

I am the same, I created envelopes on my Android phone, then registered, then logged in on the website but the website shows no envelopes or transactions, also the phone says "Sorry, this transaction can only be edited on the web at the moment" although no transactions appear on the web!

We have had a paid account for over a year, and my husband is going to switch from iPhone to an Android phone. Will he be able to add his phone to our account (after deactivating his iPhone) and view and sync with our existing envelopes and data without a problem? I would hate to lose our 12+ months of data!

Our account recently reverted to FREE (not sure why it didn't automatically renew), and I won't be able to continue with GoodBudget if it won't work with the new Android. Seeing the issues with adding an Android (won't sync, data lost, etc.) has me waiting to re-subscribe to the paid account.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,
Deb

Hi Deb,

He should be able to login without a problem. If you hit your device limit, you can control which devices have access to your household by clicking on the "My Household" link on the top right of the website, and then on "manage devices" on the left.

If you subscribed via iPhone, those do not renew. You can subscribe on the web and it should automatically renew each month/year as you choose.

I can't recall if I created my envelopes in my app before logging onto the website, but my app has never synced back. This means I can't really set up automatic recurring expenses, and that I'm having a hard time managing my budget with the app. I really like the concept, so would love to get it working (and also don't want to lose the last two months of data I've input). Could someone on the team please help? Thank you! :)
