View envelopes by category, not by master category (Annual, Monthly, etc)

I would love it if I could just view all envelopes in one big long list/tree.  I don't want to group them by their period.  I don't care if the period is annual or monthly.  I just care what the monthly contribution is.

If I have Home : Mortgage in monthly and Home : Insurance in annual, I want to see

- Mortgage
- Insurance

- Home
   - Mortgage

- Home
   - Insurance

It's not intuitive at all.

I like that idea, but I also like viewing them by period.  It would be nice to be able to choose multiple ways of viewing the envelopes and switch views on the fly (maybe a drop-down option at the top of the screen???).

I like different views on different devices.  Another way to display them would be by frequency of use.  This would be especially helpful on my phone when making purchases.  I have a lot of envelopes, but most of them have only one or two transactions a month (besides the Fill transaction) and some only one or two transactions a year.  When I'm buying groceries, I don't want to have to scroll through half my envelopes trying to find my grocery envelope.  Currently, I order my envelopes manually this way on my mobile devices.  This is not very useful for the Web app that I mostly use for establishing my budget and reconciling accounts.  There, I like to see them by category.

Hi Tristan & Wayne,

Tristan, thanks for the feedback! It sounds like you expect to see your Envelopes grouped together in a list sorted by category (like 'Home'), and not by period. Right now, Envelopes are sorted first by period, and then by category if you're grouping your Envelopes like this.

For now, I've added both of your thoughts to our request tracker for future consideration.

Thanks again
