When importing transactions from a bank file, can I display all envelopes at once for drag and drop?

I have a question about importing transactions from a bank file: Is there a way to display all the envelopes at once (rather than just the most frequently used ones, and "other"), so that when I am dragging transactions into them I don't need to click and find the correct envelope in the drop-down menu?

Hi jaimesenegal,

That's a good question. Currently, when importing transactions, Goodbudget will only display the top four most used Envelopes, and then the Other Envelope. We don't have plans to change this at the moment, but I've added your thoughts to our request features tracker for future consideration.

Hope this helps.

What is the criteria for Goodbudget to choose my most frequently used envelopes?  Currently, I have 3 envelopes that are useful, but the 4th is a monthly expense.  I would like to make "Eating Out" one of my frequently used envelopes since I have 2-4 transactions a week for that instead of the one transaction per month.

If you are still considering a User Interface that might be handy, have your 3-4 automatic Drag-n-Drop envelopes, and the "Other" could be a drop down that makes any one of your other envelopes a drag and drop envelope temporarily, so you can drag multiple transactions into it before selecting another "Other" envelope.
I believe that this might streamline the Import Process for those of us that use that feature weekly/semi-weekly..

Hi Beau -

That's a good question. I believe the Envelopes that appear as your Commonly Used Envelopes are the ones with the most transactions total in them. So, not necessarily the frequency of use. Maybe, in your case, your monthly expense Envelope has existed longer and therefore has more transactions?

Also, thanks for your suggestion! I can see how that would be helpful when importing transactions. Especially because it would allow you to temporarily choose your own 'Other' Envelope to drag transactions in to. I've added your suggestion to our features tracker.

I hope this helps!
