Ideas for Graphicly

I think graphicly need a browse comics by price ranges.
Gifting system.
The ability to buy marvel books on the site also.
Be able to use paypal on the site like in the app
Chat rooms on the site and the app
Site/app forums. Facebook is cool and all but sometimes you want to keep that separate from facebook.

Just some suggestions

    a wishlist
    groups/clans
A key that gives what keys to press to control the pages (I did not know that spacebar worked)

e.g. indifferent, undecided, unconcerned happy, confident, thankful, excited kidding, amused, unsure, silly sad, anxious, confused, frustrated

  • I agree.

Also, I recommend to focus on the Desktop app: it was good back, when Graphicly had just few comics to sell, but now browse through the entire comic store is a pain; navigation is too slow, you can view only a publisher/series at a time and, when you open a series to browse through the issues, buy something and want to go back to a previous page, you can't: you have to start over from the first page of that publisher's series.

I think that the adobe air app needs a restyling :)

I'd like a wishlist function as well, with an 'automated' twist: whenever a new issues of a series I have bought in the past is released in the store, I can find it directly in my wishlist.

Yeah a pull list/wish list should be 1st on the list.
Subscribe to series so people can get a notification when the book to that series comes out the you will know about it.
    Also..........
5 page previews of actual 5 pages. There are some books that have like 2 pages preview then it is like buy the book for 6.99. With only seeing 2 pages you get kind of a I'll skip it due to the lack of page previews.(I know that it would be a pain to do the books that are already converted.... Perhaps you can implement this on the new books being published to graphicly?)

    Good morning Comics Dude and Riccardo;
First off: thank your for all the suggestions. Have passed this posting onto our fellow in charge of products as well as adding those that were not already there to the future feature requests.
A shout out definitely to the notifications of new issues: something I in particularly want to see soon!
Adboe Air: looking to get back and updating that application before the end of the year if all goes according to Roadmap.
On previews: this is something we can change on the fly; publishers can choose how many preview pages they want to show: right now the default in 3 spreads. I have written up a feature request and CCed our head of conversion and main publisher relations fellow to see if we can up this preview page count for GNs (to get beyond end pages) across the board.

Comics Dude: what do you by groups/clans?

Take comixology's group feature for example http://www.comixology.com/groups/

For example. Lets say you like top cow books. Some one can make a top cow group. If someone like a certain book they can make a group about it or lets say you wanted a group for all of the Audrey Zarrites out there, then you should be able to make one lol.

But yeah the GNs need more pages to be viewed. at least 5 or cut it off at that I wonder what happens next moment and leave you hanging. I saw some that has the cover to inside cover then like a pinup then buy the book lol. It is like stan lee's starborn. you see some pinups then buy the book. Comixology suffers from 0 page previews (bad on their part) at all and cover price on their books. I rather go to the local shop and flip through the book. I know they stores have to make money but the buyers may want a little demo before choosing..

Ah! OK, I see. That's a neat idea: letting users head up their own topics/groups. Will have to re-examine the area of chat/communication in that area.

As for GNs: we have already updated the page count for previews on Top Shelf due in part to your request. Looking into some others, besides Starborn, any you know off the top of your head GN-wise that you would like to see a few more preview pages to get past the endpages to get a real taste of the book you might be purchasing to enjoy?

      Thanks again!

But don't forget about the gifting system lol. You should be able to send a comic to someone's email that gives them a promo code to put in when they make a graphicly account to receive the book.

Agreed; particularly with the holidays coming up! Apologies for not mentioning this in my earlier post, it was just on our list already :) Am going to re-mention to our devs/tech lead and see if we can't move this up the list.

Again thank you mucho for your suggestions and recommendations: want to know what our community members want to see!

    • I was talking to my relative about this. We had plans on gifting graphicly books lol. I also had plans on gifting my book here on graphicly to others also. I have another suggestion. Perhaps in DEC-Jan 2nd have a massive month-long xmas sale or send emails/letters to all of the publishers who want to opt in the month long sale to move xmas digital units. What better way to ring in the new year with deals on comics. I have too many idea going on while inking this comic lol!
