Although it has only been a few short hours since I downloaded the AIR app, I'm really loving Graphic.ly and I'm in support of its 'one format' goals.
I'm mostly a Marvel reader and as such, I have been addicted (if not, obsessed) with their online library. That being said, now that I've discovered Graphic.ly, I'm somewhat on the fence as to which direction I'll go. Device-wise, Marvel has limitations (unless of course you use an iOS device) so that's a big tick in Graphic.ly's favour --especially once I get off my ass and dual boot my phone with android.
The problem I am having though is with missing titles; In particular Volume 3 series of X-Force.
Graphicly only has up to issue 11 (that I can see).
I've been doing my homework and whilst I couldn't find a definitive answer regarding that particular series, I find myself with a whole new batch of questions:
> Are Issues 12 through to 25 currently being 're-done in the new process' (that I've seen mentioned a few times)?
> Could my location (Australia) affect the number of available issues within a series?
> Could it just be that Marvel has only sent you guys the first 11?
I've noticed a similar problem with a couple of other X-Men titles.
I would love to hear from you guys ASAP on this .. in the mean time, I'll just keep searching the store from week to week. :)
EMPLOYEE1Good afternoon ehveedubya;
First off: welcome to Graphicly! Glad you are enjoying!
X-Force V3: great book! We have everything live right now that Marvel has sent us. I will forward on your request for more to our publisher relations fellow (I want more too). Australia has nothing to do with it :)
Thanks and any other comics (X-Men or otherwise) you are looking for in-particularly that I could send on in a request as well?
Audrey, since you're an insider, what do you think great companies, like Marvel and DC, believe about digital delivery? Do you think they'll invest seriously on this market, sometime soon?
In other words, in your opinion, when can we expect to have their comics delivered through graphicly, and/or other apps, as naturally and regularly as they do now with traditional comic book store, without the need to request new titles and issues?
I understand that Archie comics is going in that direction: what about the others?
