Missing Marvel Titles -- some comments and questions.

Hi guys,

Although it has only been a few short hours since I downloaded the AIR app, I'm really loving Graphic.ly and I'm in support of its 'one format' goals.

I'm mostly a Marvel reader and as such, I have been addicted (if not, obsessed) with their online library. That being said, now that I've discovered Graphic.ly, I'm somewhat on the fence as to which direction I'll go. Device-wise, Marvel has limitations (unless of course you use an iOS device) so that's a big tick in Graphic.ly's favour --especially once I get off my ass and dual boot my phone with android.

The problem I am having though is with missing titles; In particular Volume 3 series of X-Force.

Graphicly only has up to issue 11 (that I can see).

I've been doing my homework and whilst I couldn't find a definitive answer regarding that particular series, I find myself with a whole new batch of questions:

> Are Issues 12 through to 25 currently being 're-done in the new process' (that I've seen mentioned a few times)?
> Could my location (Australia) affect the number of available issues within a series?
> Could it just be that Marvel has only sent you guys the first 11?

I've noticed a similar problem with a couple of other X-Men titles.

I would love to hear from you guys ASAP on this .. in the mean time, I'll just keep searching the store from week to week. :)

Adrian.

Good afternoon ehveedubya;
First off: welcome to Graphicly! Glad you are enjoying!
X-Force V3: great book! We have everything live right now that Marvel has sent us. I will forward on your request for more to our publisher relations fellow (I want more too). Australia has nothing to do with it :)
Thanks and any other comics (X-Men or otherwise) you are looking for in-particularly that I could send on in a request as well?

Hi Audrey,

So I've had a look around and a bit of a think about it.. and it would be great to see the rest of Astonishing X-Men (The Warren Ellis issues) added :)

Just wondering also... will Dark Horse will be added to the publishers list?

Sending along your Astonishing X-Men request to our publisher relations fellow. He did tell me that we should be seeing some more X-Force soon due to our request so most certainly keep sending them along!

Dark Horse: at the current time they have decide to go with their own digital solution though we are still in contact with them...let's just say we have some big Hellboy/BPRD and Usagi Yojimbo fans here in the office.
Thanks

Audrey, since you're an insider, what do you think great companies, like Marvel and DC, believe about digital delivery? Do you think they'll invest seriously on this market, sometime soon?

In other words, in your opinion, when can we expect to have their comics delivered through graphicly, and/or other apps, as naturally and regularly as they do now with traditional comic book store, without the need to request new titles and issues?

I understand that Archie comics is going in that direction: what about the others?

Hey Riccardo;
Here is an article about that from end of year from Micah, our CEO, on some of that: http://www.ifanboy.com/content/articl...

I can't say much more than that as I would saying it in an official capacity as a Graphicly co-worker on this forum. Not to imply I agree or disagree with Micah, just that I really can't and shouldn't say anything but what our CEO says about such things.

You can e-mail him directly with your questions, he's pretty good about answering e-mail, likes hearing directly from community users and as CEO he can be as candid as he wants to be :)

Done, I've sent him an e-mail, as you suggested.

Sorry If I put you in an uncomfortable position, I wasn't meant to.

Oh totally not! Just can't give personal opinions in an official capacity...sounds like they're coming from Graphicly and not me.
And in that spirit:
KITTY PRYDE IS THE BEST CHARACTER EVER.
