Where will I get my calcium?

When we eliminate animal products, salt, white flour products, sugar and caffeine (the five 'killer foods' that lead the production of an acid ash in the body),and adopt a plant-based (alkaline) diet, the body no longer experiences calcium depletion.

Once this former calcium loss has been eliminated and the body is nourished with an abundance of raw foods, fresh juices, and BarleyMax, we should be getting an abundance of easily absorbed calcium. We do not believe additional supplementation is necessary or beneficial if we are eating a good variety of raw foods.

A good digestive enzyme may be beneficial in helping the body obtain maximum nutritional value (including calcium) from our foods. Digestive enzymes also take much of the stress of digestion off of the body. Many people use digestive enzymes with all cooked foods and often even with raw foods.
