Trolls vs. quality of user experience

I love hiphopdx but your comment section is constantly overrun with posts by "dentaldamnboy," and a legion of other trolls. I enjoy the news but it's a shame that actual conversation can't take place because of these terrible users. I just saw a post someone made with a similar question 7 months ago. It's sad that someone feels the need to waste their time trolling (and everyone else's)

  • Hey MRB,

Thank you for reaching out.  We understand your concern and are working on improving the  comment section.  With that said, other users do have the rights to leave comments, as long as they are not offensive or spam.

Thanks again for reaching, have a great weekend.

Improving the value of comments and forums.

The comment section is filthy, typically. The use of expletives is outrageous. I think Hip-Hop DX would benefit from removing comments that make it an unhealthy forum. I would post more if cussing and bigotry were removed on the basis it doesn't elevate Hip-Hop. I think everything has it's respective space... but this shouldn't be one of them when it's public. It can be a turn off and offensive. Now, I cuss and say shit myself but there are different arenas for that kind of discourse, for those muses. That's partly why we listen to the records we do. NAS said he was "taking rappers to a new plateau." We should meet him there...

    Change comment writing policy.

This website is a fuking mess. The comments sections are often worse than Youtube. Can you change one more time a policy, like log in before letting 'everyone' to write non sense non stop troll comments or mark as a spam? I think it must be a place for discussion, for people who really like hiphop music and want exchange adequate information.

Blogs desperately need professionalism and etiquette.

HHDX needs to clean up the blogs and monitor the language. It does nothing for the site when people write derogatory comments. A person should be capable of getting their point across without being offensive, and should be encouraged to do so.
