Incorrect new recommendations dates/times in Reactions to my Records

  • Problem
  • Updated 2 years ago
In "Reactions to my records", new recommends' dates show up as the original record's upload date. (Ex. "Dr. Gory recommended your record 'Seagull Shadows' about 1 month ago" even though it was recommended just a few minutes/hours ago. Obviously it's not a pressing issue, but I thought I'd let you know!

Cool thanks. And good catch. It's a low-priority bug as you say, but something we'll log and get to as soon as we get some of the bigger bugs fixed.

Thanks!

I love seeing these issues, because these are theirs, and not ours. It's just you. It's just them. It may not be somebody else, and it may not be my issue, but it is an issue that is only problematic for them, and not me, and probably not you, either, so who cares?

I didn't even think about it being the upload date! I figured it was just giving me my feedback in some random order.

I've noticed that the date/time it says people have recommended a record tends to correspond with the date/time I've released my record. So if I made a record two days ago and someone recced it yesterday it will say so-and-so recommended your record two days ago.

Just noticed that this issue is fixed! (I'm not on hR every day or even every week.) Thanks for taking care of it and for all your constant work to make the site so user-friendly!

Related...I think that rec's are not showing up every time/when they are clicked. For example, I've noticed this: records that I rec'd a minute ago, when I scroll past it again on my dashboard (or come back to it), my rec isn't there (yes, I'm the kind of person who remembers numbers so if there were 9 recs and mine was the 10th, I notice) and I know I've received recs (while I'm messing around on hitrecord) "new" and when I go to see who rec'd it, it says 9 hours ago or something that makes very little sense. Anyhoo...obviously not a big deal, but if recs aren't being recorded (ha) then people aren't getting to see the stuff we're trying to share or give props to.

ps love hitrecord.

I still get this, or something very similar. I will release a RECord, and as the recommendations come in, they will show up as having happened several hours ago, even though I just released the RECord.

The times never update either. It's like they get frozen at whatever time they were at when you check your reactions. Like if it says 16 min ago, and I check it the next day and our after a 2nd person rec'd it, it'll say 1 hour ago for the new person, and still say 16 min for the first rec. Not really an issue, just weird. ... What is annoying though is my feed from the people I subscribe too doesn't reset to 0 after I've check it like the "reactions to my records" does. That irritates me more than the time stamp.

This is off the topic of the RECs date, but its a small-ish bug and thought I'd share it here to see if anyone has been having the same problems.

Whenever I comment on someone else's RECords (or respond to those made on my own), the moment I go beyond (an estimate of) 80 characters, my comment gets cut off.

This means my comments are either shortened and combined, or re-ordered, completely going all over the place. I don't mean to impose. I just wanted to share this because I'm feeling a little apprehensive about commenting now, I might end up having to post multiple comments to even finish a single thought... and it might bother some hitRECorders.

I do hope this gets some notice from the team :)
