I've created my account, however, where does one upload/specify an avatar?

I think it takes it from your Twitter profile. So you'll have to set a link with rel="me" to your Twitter profile on your website (or set your Twitter profile as your homepage on your Huffduffer profile, I guess).

Spot on Gonzalo! I swapped my web link to my twitter which then pulled in my Avatar.
I swapped back to my own website and it kept my avatar, so all is well.

Actually, it isn't necessarily from Twitter. If your own website has an hCard with a photo, Huffduffer will use that. If you link off to your Flickr or Twitter profile from your own website using rel="me", Huffduffer will use your Flickr or Twitter avatar.

I've tried everything in this thread: I put an hcard on my site, even though it's ugly. I used rel="me" links to Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, and Soundcloud. (I don't use Flickr.) I tried setting my home page to Twitter. After several hours, I have nothing to show except a great deal of frustration. I know it's free, but I'd gladly pay to solve this particular issue. I have no idea where the uglyass camera image came from I liked it fine when it was the old Huffduffer finger a few years ago. No idea why it ever changed.

Oof. I just figured out it's my Flickr avatar. Which is ridiculous, as I basically have never used Flickr ever, but I have a Yahoo account, so the uglyass camera is the default in Flickr. Guh. This is not a great system.

Oh for crying out loud. The Yahoo ID it seems to think is me has been claimed by somebody else, so I can't change it at all. This is a really insane system.
