"Character Models" attribute

I am a character model and face model for series (particularly games but more recently animations), where my likeness is used and I'm invited to appear in costume at events such as launches; but don't always appear in live action footage, and I am rarely the voice actor.

I have tried to manually add the attribute of being a character model, however I receive the error "this credit has been rejected" and "is not one of the existing attributes we have in this section", with no options available to me but to submit the content either without an attribute or with attributes that don't accurately reflect my contribution.

To simply list myself as the character with no attribute feels like a gross misrepresentation of my role and its scope, particularly when the voice actor is expected to specify that they provided the voice.

Would a stand in credit work for you?

There seem to be some "character model" credits under Other Crew.

This question needs a reply from official representatives.

However, I do think that V should be credited as star for the character, and another credit should go to the "voice" actor.

As an example of technical side, please see Destiny (2004) where Winston Churchill is credited himself (archive footage), and he is reenacted by Graham Walker but voiced by John Baddeley.

Additionally, I'd like to mention that such credits will drastically progress in number and IMDb has to be prepared to accept the reality. In other words, please (re)watch The Congress (2013) where this tendency is predicted (or acknowledged?).

PS: And how this situation is reflected in the onscreen credits?

Hi V -

Can you clarify the exact role you are credited under on-screen?  Generally, credits under "character model" or "face model" would fall under "Miscellaneous crew".
