IMDB Staffed by IDIOTS. for YEARS now, we have seen ""See more opening this week" yet it has NEVER has shown "more opening this week" It takes you to the same list it JUST DISPLAYED, and then "Now Currently Playing" This week, the NY Times listed 15 new movies opening this week, IMDB had 7 "opening this week" then we clicked on the "See more opening this week" but of course we don't!

I am viewing on an IPad Air, IOS 8, in Reference View. I currently see 17 Movies Opening This Week and no link available to see "More Opening This Week".

Perhaps if you were to provide more salient details staff could look into the problem and provide an explanation.

I always thought the default site as being the WEB PAGE on a computer, which existed long before there was an 'IOS.' Mobile devices are running variations of that page.
Speaking of salient details, are you looking at it on a Browser in IOS, or with IMBD's own app?

Safari...Except, I just realized that I included films currently playing in my count. So, I also see only 7 opening this week. But, I do not see a link that says " See More Opening This Week". Sorry for the confusion. ...This is also the same I see on my Mac Book Pro using Chrome as a browser.

I see that you've mentioned this twice before.
https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/-see-more-opening-this-week-except-it-doesnt
https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/only-5-movies-opening-this-week

FWIW, I've noticed the oddity too.  IMO, it is just one of IMDb's funny quirks.
I don't let this kind of thing bother me.  (Instead, I laugh.  Laughter is good for the soul!)

At this time, the sidebar on the IMDb home page
lists the titles of seven movies "Opening This Week".

When we click the "See more opening this week" link,
we see a list page with two sections:

(1)  "Opening This Week"  (with just the same seven movies aforementioned),  and
(2)  "In Theaters Now - Box Office Top Ten".

So, on that list page, we note that the "Opening This Week" section
contains only the same seven movies that we already saw on the home page.
You note:
... the NY Times listed 15 new movies opening this week ....
So, my understanding of your argument is this:
When a link titled "See more opening this week" is displayed on the IMDb  home page, that seems to suggest that the list page's "Opening This Week" section should contain " more" than just the same (currently seven) titles already shown on the home page.

Since you mentioned this twice before (and received no useful response),
I expect that you may never "Get Satisfaction" (dot com!)  on this issue.

So, my advice:  Let this one go.  You have made your point.  At least one person (me) apparently understands your argument.  Many other people may never understand it (or care to), and even if they did, many of them would not consider it a "problem" (or at least, not a significant or important one; which, obviously, is why both of your previous posts on this issue were marked "Not a problem").

IMDb is what it is.  It has some quirks.  That is part of its charm.  Laugh it off.  Life goes on, and life is short.  We all have far more important things to be concerned about than a design quirk on a silly website.  Basically, nobody cares.

Yes I have complained before, but it just seems to me a bit irksome to have to go BACK to the New York Times to see what was opening again while I'm ALREADY ON a supposed premier "Movie Site.
"  It makes IMDB Look amatuerish and/or sloppy.

Other than the link appearing, when there are not additional titles, which is odd, I thought it might be related to release dates being missing, but after checking a few of those on the NYT page but not on the IMDb page, it seems the release dates are properly listed.

I note that Straight Outta Compton is on IMDb's list but not NYT's...so IMDb beat 'em on that one.

Very Odd, considering I read the review in the New York Times this Friday in the front page of the Arts section... in the Print edition.
