Incendies because besides being a great film is much more Canadian than the many co-productions on the list

Great choice, I like the logic.

Co-productions are part of the business, there are not many major one country motion picture productions  outside the major centers. But, I am a bit surprised it didn't have more, given it use as a popular, less expensive filming location. Still, it is in good company as it ranks highly. Canada has the eighth most of the 915 that have held that distinction of being listed in IMDb Top 250.

1 USA
2. UK
3 France
4 Germany
5 Japan
6 Italy
7 India
8 Canada

You have a superfluous 'the' in the intro.

You may have missed The Red Violin (1998), which was also once on the Top 250.

Good call, it wasn't on the Canada database I was using, But, it fits the bill as a Canadian co-production, in part set in Canada and on the IMDb Top 250 for 15 months in 1999-2000. I love that movie, it certainly would be on my Top 250.

Thanks, again for pointing out the omitted title. There seems to be a difference between the two databases on Canadian co-productions. It got me thinking what else might have been left out, so I decided to use an IMDb credit as a country of origin as the final say. I did an IMDb search of top Canadian co-produced movies: http://www.imdb.com/search/title?count=100&countries=ca&num_votes=25000,9999999&sort=use...

As a result, I added five titles that didn't show on the initial list with at least partial Canadian co-production credit on IMDb and have re-ordered the entire list by degree of Canadianess (rank as co-producer 1st listed, 2nd listed, etc).

The Red Violin
Room
Logan
John Wick: Chapter 2
District 9

Live poll: http://www.imdb.com/poll/x6SFrjOQp0E/?ref_=po_ti. Applause, applause!

I voted for The Sweet Hereafter (that film crushed me in the most amazing way), although The Red Violin was  not far behind. 'Good list with a lot of good films.

Thanks, for the feedback and update.I voted for the Red Violin, Yes, I think it is impressive list. There seems to be a fair amount of home-grown talent, one would think the list could be larger and more impressive.

P.S.  Canada Day hyperlink had a "/" at the end, I have removed it, so it is operational now.

Oh, you're very welcome. And yes, Red Violin is one of the best of a list of lovely films. My oldest niece and nephew (who are close to my age) and I always half-jokingly / half-seriously root for Canada in the Olympics (we're from the States) and call Canada the "more civilized" America, lol. Even though I know of several artists and celebrities from Canada (Martin Short and Alanis Morisette are among my favorites from any country), I didn't know that these films were Canadian, although it doesn't surprise me of course, and yes - I know what you mean - I would have thought the list would be even longer. It is indeed impressive, though.
I saw your re-push request and saw the problem with the hyperlink included in the poll, but the list doesn't seem to have any hyperlink to Canada Day at all now. Whenever you fix it, unless you see that it has immediately been re-pushed and the poll reflects the list, could you please submit a new re-push request? You'll see that your other two requests in the same post have been re-pushed. Since two are done but one is not, and there are four of us who do the re-pushes, I want to make sure that your Canada Day request is seen. Thank you!

It's really late and I am falling asleep as I write this so I can't stay up to see if the list is ready to be re-pushed, but the other admins are much better than I am at staying on top of re-push requests, so I'm sure it will be done soon after the hyperlink is ready.

Thanks, for the help. The hyperlink is not visible on saved list, but it is there and correct, I tested it to be sure and will show on poll. I re-submitted as directed and Peter re-pushed it. So, it is resolved.

I can identify and share a similar affinity for all things Canadian, except Canadian bacon, I like to root for them too in international sports, especially in Curling.

Oops, sorry -- about my confusion with the hyperlink.

"Except Canadian bacon" was great -- it made me laugh and I needed a laugh today. :-). I never much liked Canadian bacon, either, although I've been a vegetarian for so long, I don't quite remember. All the things I liked though, I remember very well, so I'm sure I was never a fan.

I don't know much about Curling except that it looks fun and I like watching it better than hockey, actually, because it's easier to see those blocks than that tiny puck, lol.
