2019 Oscars without host

I loved it! There were highly acclaimed hosts like Steve Martin or Alec Baldwin, Ellen DeGeneres before. But I like to to say it with the words of Steve Balmer about his company: "I ... love ... this ... company !" This Oscars were mindblowing with having no declared host. I don't refuse Oscars with host, but this time I had the feeling, the Oscars I watch are a real community.

I did like the nominees. I did like the winners! I did like the whole concept! It was the greatest Oscar-night I experienced till now. Standing Ovations! Only the Buster-Scruggs-song could have been performed a little more vivid.

All in all it went very good, but I would say rather despite a missing host than because of. Even if a host isn't the best, they kinda hold together the whole thing. Feels colder without one.

The #Oscars are 8 or 80: either they recognize well, either the politiques come into force.

I think the ceremony was well paced and it's a punch to the stomach of Oscar's of the initial decision to make it "short" and obliviate some categories. In the end, it has time for all the categories to be presented with respect.

However I feel that some winners didn't deserved their awards. Mostly in the sound categories, editing and design.
For Best Picture?? I don't have for now an opinion because I didn't saw "Green Book"

I must say that without a host the telecast suffered not one iota. There were a lot less awkward moments this year for a change. The focus was on the craft. It was refreshing.
