Does IMDb knows that crime based scenes aren't counted in "Action" genre? Here (http://m.imdb.com/title/tt2635622/?re...) The Attacks of 26/11 is a Docudrama about a terrorist attack in Mumbai. Few days back some random disgusting edits were made on it terming as Action. Is anyone really concerning guidelines? I had deleted the genres and confined till Documentary and Crime. Needed reply about this. No genres must added. Rather its a crime film, it has nothing to do with "action genre". I have my rights to question on genres. Thanks. Its intolerable when someone adds wrong genres.

Thousands of movies combine crime and action. IMDb's guidelines mention no restrictions on using the genres together.

I would question whether the film you reference should be listed as a documentary. Does it have any real people appearing as themselves, or only actors?

My friend, i told you its a docudrama a real life based event with dramatization. (http://m.timesofindia.com/entertainme...)
This is the link of it. And its not action film as murdering someone for illicit goal (jihad) is not counted as action. If i add comedy genre in the film page The Conjuring, will it make sense?

I won't judge the movie, but IMDb's documentary guideline says, "Should contain numerous consecutive scenes of real personages and not characters portrayed by actors." Also, when you add the genre you get the warning, "The Documentary genre is only for use in full documentaries."

Not all movies about terror attacks are listed as action movies, that much is true. But you mentioned "guidelines"; do you have a source?

I gave you the link above. The attacks of 26/11 is a docudrama not action neither will be. Anyways need to get more deeper in it until i get the consensus.

Hi Mohammad -

If the title "The Attacks of 26/11" is a fictional depiction of real events (with characters portrayed by actors) , then the title should not be listed as a Documentary on the site and this genre should be removed.  If the title is a 'docudrama', you can submit this Keyword to the title page.

Regarding the 'Action' genre listing, this genre applies when the following content is displayed on the film:

Should contain numerous scenes where action is spectacular and usually destructive. Note: if a movie contains just one action scene (even if prolonged, e.g., airplane-accident) it does not qualify. Subjective.

If there are scenes in the film that display the above, the genre is listed correctly and will need to remain.  Otherwise, if there are no scenes in the film that display the above, then please submit a request to remove the Action genre listing.

Ok. It must be a historical film as it is portrays real picture of 26/11 Bombay attacks. And ma'm the terrorists are on killing spree but not any kind of "Heroism" depicted. Murdering someone is not counted in Action anyway. I will edit it. But i won't still count as Action. Murder scenes were, is and never will be counted in Action genres. Do please see and co-operate because in Hollywood cinema genres are not updated added or deleted unless counted. Here above i said to a user if i count Conjuring as a comedy film so will it make a sense? NO! Not at all.
