I'm have tried adding a name to the crew list about six times now, but it still hasn't appeared on the site. I would like to know if there is a reason for this, and who I can contact about it.

One of the reasons, might be that you've added it six times, if this is done before the previous one has been rejected, then it could delay the acceptance of the submission.

The other reason might be not sending any evidence. If you haven't done that can you attach a screenshot of the relevant part of the credits here (there is an Add Image button bottom right) and paste in the reference number for the submission?

If they are on the credits and the title is in the database then this should get them listed.

Thank you for your answer.

The strange thing is that all the other credits which I submitted have been accepted....

The film isn't out yet, so unfortuntately I can't send in a screenshot.

If IMDB thinks I'm submitting a fake credit, couldn't they send an email to the address I have logged in with, and tell/ask me?

The last infromation I got (a couple of years ago, but I doubt it has improved all that much) is that IMDb processes in the region of 400,000 lines of data per week, and that this means that they have to average less than 30 seconds per item.

They don't currently have an efficient way to contact the contributor, so unfortunately you won't be contacted (with the exception of New Titles and sometimes Awards). They are looking at developing a form of feedback when items are rejected, but there are other changes that are deemed more critical, so I don't see a change happening any time soon.

It happens, especially if there is no way to actually check the information and that goes double if there is some other issue - if they don't yet have a page or some other issue that might make want to wait. Or it might be it is in the pipeline and you didn't wait long enough - it is difficult to tell from this end, as IMDB can be a bit of a "black box": stuff goes in one end and usually comes out the other, but when it doesn't it can be difficult to say why.

If you supply the reference numbers staff will be able to look into this.
