Someone named Djon Scott - who does not exist - has been taking random credits on my jobs, apparently used me as a reference to rent or steal expensive camera gear from a mail-rental house, has also used my photos from my website to use on his website as his own. I have requested his credits removal from my jobs with mention of fraud, however IMDB seems to be ignoring the issue. Has anyone else had these issues before? These frauds are generally using IMDB as a reference point to exist in the film industry so they can look legit enough to make expensive fraudulent sales costing people thousands of dollars, and connecting people who are professionals making us look horrible and fraudulent as well.

Can you describe the problem on your page? Are there credits that don't belong there or are they missing from your page (or both?)? You kind of imply both. Which is your page? "He" is using "Jessica's" photos as his own??
"Fraud" doesn't matter. Only that errors get corrected. It's best not to request deletion but to, instead, request they be corrected. We can help you do that but kind of need details.
Good luck with that...it sound terrible to deal with. What a putz that guy is!

It's not my page that's the problem - The guy started stealing my identity by building his website with my work on it. When I checked for his IMDB, I found most of his credits are for shoots that I was on. He was not on any of those jobs, he's not on the crew lists, and we know who the real credited people are. Therefore, IMDB is allowing completely ridiculous credits, because this person doesn't even exist. After all of this happened, I heard from someone asking me for his referral on a big $$ sale of film gear, which means he's using this fraud identity to appear as a filmmaker. Shortly after that, they were contacted by the police about the guy.

I see. I assumed when you said he was "taking your credits," it meant he was moving credits from your page to his (not to mention, your title is ".
A fraud has been biting from my credits." If it's nothing to do with your page, what do you mean by "my credits?"
So, he is www.imdb.com/name/nm6169813/ ? Do you have information about which are real and which are faked credits? And, they belong to someone else? Do you know who?
You can go to the page for those films/shows and "edit page" and move the credits to the right people. It'd help a lot to have proof, such as screen captures of the on screen credits.
I am not sure IMDb can do anything about the fraud and anything that has been reported to law enforcement. But errors on pages can always be corrected, if submitted right and with the right evidence.

Yes that is the correct link. To note, 11 out of 18 credits are stolen from people I know and work with. The right people still have their credits, however this guy has added himself as well. I have already gone thru all 11 pages and attempted to change - including the fraud description in the reason why - and did so quite some time ago, IMDB has not made a signal move. And seriously, I would like to deal with someone at IMDB privately to show the obvious proof, but it is far beyond ridiculous that this has even happened at all on IMDB with some fake out there gaining tons of illegal credits. Shameful page errors, seriously. It makes me sick to think about how much this may happen seeing how IMDB has allowed a young fake to gain department-head credits, and the hardworking filmmakers being ripped off thousands of dollars because of it.

People submit fake credits all of the time. Unless and until someone provides evidence of the false submissions there aren't likely to be corrections.

That's sad. Maybe one day when I'm 75 years old I'll be bored enough to sit down and screenshot all of the credits rolling at the end of all eleven films. Or maybe - just maybe - someone from IMDB might write me back asking for proof to work this out. Apparently they aren't reading what their customers are saying about them on their suggested support pages.

Or, as I said, you could post the info and let others help out....
As many folks as there are trying to add false credits, there are probably more trying to remove credits from their pages to hide work they're not proud of. Thus the need to scrutinize (and see proof of) requests to delete. No offense, I've also seen disgruntled folks try removing other people's earned and valid credits over arguments and business disagreements. So, as I said, the fraud story is of no importance, to IMDb...just whether the data is good or not and that usually comes by equipping busy page editors with good proof that the deletion is needed.
If you want to, PM me a list of credits that you know he didn't earn, by logging in at IMDb and PMing to my profile there http://www.IMDb.com/user/ur10114372/ then click "send message."
While staff can be "PM'd" via the Help desk, they don't accept requests to edit pages there. It needs to be done on the online forms (the private contact form is linked on this board's main page).

Hi Jessica. Thank you for reporting this issue. Having looked into this I have found that this was only one of a number of fraudulent names. All have been removed and the contributor has been dealt with.
I sincerely hope that any problems outside IMDb caused by these 'people' will now cease.

Thank YOU! Authenticity must be extremely difficult to deal with on this platform.
Help from IMDB is probably the most tremendous backfire to frauds. Without IMDB credits, they are ignored. There is no credit like IMDB credit!
